Governance

Living and Worship through Our Work

Scarboro United Church offers many opportunities for ministry. The work of the Church is handled by standing committees, most of which meet on a regular monthly basis. All committees welcome new members at any time. The Chair and the Vice-Chair of each committee sit on the Official Board, which meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Official Board meetings are open to all.

In addition to the Board and committee membership, there are many other opportunities for ministry at Scarboro. Some suggestions are offered following the description of each committee.

" The improvement of children's literacy skills within local elementary schools. " The promotion of Cause Canada, an International Relief and Development Organization. " Social aspects of the Church.
